Taking Flight is a vibrant and expressive mixed media abstract painting by Kathryn Gruber.

Using a variety of colours, this textural piece was created with the main goal of visually interpreting movement and freedom of expression. Amongst the layers, the loose shape of a bird in flight began to emerge from the paint, symbolising freedom of expression, reaching new creative heights, and reminding me of the parrots in Australia.

  • Finished with a Satin UV varnish
  • Framed with Tasmanian Oak
  • Size: 52.5cm x 52.5cm x 4.5cm (approx 21″ x 21″ x 2″)
