The weekend was spent varnishing three paintings – two of which I mentioned in last month’s newsletter, as well as a reworking of ‘Water Cycle’, which has been redone to clarify the shapes and provide a more pleasing balance. I’ve added some lovely texture, which is only viewable from close up, or when the light hits it in a certain way (picture below).

The repeating method gives a nice sense of movement to the piece.
