Mad March in Adelaide is a cacophony of music, comedy, magicians, circus acts, opera, performers, sideshow rides, food stalls, people from all over the world, and always… always.. we are looking for parking.
There are heaps of events that happen in Adelaide during late February – March: The Fringe Festival, Adelaide Festival, Writer’s Festival, Womadelaide (World Music Festival), Adelaide Motorsport Festival to name a few.
Somewhere in the midst of all this wonderful madness were my paintings on exhibit at T’Arts Collective Gallery alongside the lovely recycled glass jewellery of Julie Frahm.
It’s a fantastic gallery – full of textiles, sculptures, jewellery, and paintings from highly skilled and talented South Australians. The quality of work here is exquisite, and I am honoured to have displayed my work alongside these amazing artisans.
It was a wonderful opportunity, and I received so much great feedback and interest in my work.
Thankfully, the good people at T’Arts Gallery asked me to display another of my big pieces again for next month, to complement some fascinating glasswork I’m sure you will love. I’m so happy that my work seems to have struck a chord.
Seeing how my work affects people has got to be one of my favourite parts of being an artist – it really completes the process for me and gives me such a thrill. I love how it draws them into the gallery.
I have a number of pieces that didn’t quite make it into this exhibition because of space constraints, so invariably, they will pop up in various places over the next few months.
Stay tuned for that!
